Die Kathedrale, von der UNESCO ausgerufen als Welterbgut, liegt am Weg nach St. Jacob von Compostella. Im Umkreis der Limogeannen Strasse findet man sehr wichtige renaissancistische Erbg\u00fcter; es sind die Reste des Goldenen Zeitalters von Perigueux. The latter, often considered as a symbol of the town, has recently been listed by UNESCO among the sites that belong to &#8220;the World Heritage of Mankind&#8221;, on the road to Santiago de Compostella. A bit further, as a hinge between XIX century quarters, the Mus\u00e9e du P\u00e9rigord houses numerous treasures: prehistory, ethnology, medieval remains&#8230; P\u00e9rigueux is also an illustrious town of Art and History offering to the visitor great legacies from its 2000-year past, that are introduced in its &#8220;La L\u00e9gende de Saint-Front&#8221; Son et Lumi\u00e8re. However, should you get to understand the town thanks to these day and night travels, you will not know it. Men kan zich zodoende gelijktijdig binnen verschillende periodes verplaatsen.<\/p>\n<p>Na een bezoek gebracht te hebben aan het &#8220;Mus\u00e9e gallo-romain Vessuna<br \/>\n&#8220;, dat niet alleen getuigt van het antieke verleden van de stad maar ook, dankzij de bouwkundige Jean Nouvel, van haar moderne architectuur, vervolgt U Uw pad richting middeleeuwse binnenstad. Hier kunt U heerlijk rondstruinen door de frisse straatjes en steegjes van de Puy Saint Front, aan de voet van de kathedraal, die in het kader van de wegen naar St.Jacob van Compostella door de UNESCO is uitgeroepen tot mondiaal erfgoed. De omgeving van de Limogeanne straat is bijzonder rijk aan Renaissancistisch erfgoed, de overblijfselen uit de Gouden Eeuw van Perigueux. Daarom is het erg leuk de plaatselijke bevolking te ontmoeten en gezellig langs de kleurrijke marktstalletjes te slenteren waar U de typische geuren en smaken op U in kunt laten werken. Het is ook zeker aan te raden een wandeling te maken langs de rivier de Isle en te genieten van de gastronomische hoogstandjes van de regio&#8230;.
