In ihren Mauern eingeschlossen und von tiefen Gr\u00e4ben umgeben, machte die mittelalterliche Festung hoch \u00fcber dem Flu\u00df 1575 einem Lustschlo\u00df Platz..<\/p>\n<p>Auf der Feldseite tritt man \u00fcber eine Br\u00fccke in den Ehrenhof und die kleine Burg, eines der bedeutendsten Werke dieser Art im S\u00fcd-Westen.<\/p>\n<p>Die Architektur der Renaissance stellt hier ihre Eleganz unter Beweis. Die zierliche Skulptur der Fassaden und die ausgeglichenen Proportionen der Volumen bilden einen herrlichen Rahmen f\u00fcr den sch\u00f6nen Dekor und das bemerkenswerte Mobiliar der Gem\u00e4cher aus der Epoche des 16. und 17. Jh. Diese zeugen von den Lebensgewohnheiten von Jean II de Losse, Hofmeister von Heinrich IV und Gouverneur von Guyana unter den letzten Wallisern und ersten Bourbonen. Auch die Festungsmauern berichten vom t\u00e4glichen Leben der Epoche, mit dem Schwitzbad und seinem Ruheraum im Tour de l&#8217;Eperon (16. The medieval fortress erected on a spur above the V\u00e9z\u00e8re river, is surrounded by high walls and a deep moat. Between 1570 and 1576 a Renaissance main building was built within the medieval stronghold..<\/p>\n<p>The fortified gate house (the largest of its kind in Southern France) controls the dormant bridge and gives way to the main courtyard<\/p>\n<p>The towers can be visited, which will lead you to discover the daily life of that period in the steam- and rest-rooms. Films are also displayed in other rooms.<br \/>\nRenaissance architecture shows its elegance here. The delicate sculpture of the facades and the well-balanced proportions of the volumes form an enclosure for the stunning ornamentation and outstanding 16th and 17th Century furniture that grace the ch\u00e2teau&#8217;s rooms, which bear witness to the life style of Lean II de Losse, the tutor of Henri IV and governor of Guyenne under the last Valois and the first Bourbons. La forteresse m\u00e9di\u00e9vale, b\u00e2tie en \u00e0-pic sur la rivi\u00e8re, est enserr\u00e9e de murailles et bord\u00e9e de douves profondes. Un grand logis Renaissance y a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9difi\u00e9 entre 1570 et 1576.<\/p>\n<p>C\u00f4t\u00e9 champs, le ch\u00e2telet fortifi\u00e9 (le plus grand ouvrage de ce genre dans le Sud-Ouest) commande le pont dormant et donne acc\u00e8s \u00e0 la cour d&#8217;honneur.<\/p>\n<p>Les tours de l&#8217;enceinte se visitent. Le quotidien de l&#8217;\u00e9poque revit dans l&#8217;\u00e9tuve et la chambre de repos. La d\u00e9licate sculpture des fa\u00e7ades et la justesse de proportions des volumes forment un \u00e9crin pour le beau d\u00e9cor et remarquable mobilier d&#8217;\u00e9poque qui ornent les appartements. Ceux-ci t\u00e9moignent du cadre de vie de Jean II de Losse, grand militaire et familier de la Cour sous le r\u00e8gne des derniers Valois, fils de Catherine de M\u00e9dicis et du premier Bourbon, Henri IV, dont il fut le pr\u00e9cepteur. Sa fid\u00e9lit\u00e9 \u00e0 la Couronne lui valut d&#8217;\u00eatre Gouverneur de Guyenne \u00e0 la fin du XVI\u00e8me si\u00e8cle.<\/p>\n<p>Le site et ses abords sont class\u00e9s, ils sont prolong\u00e9s par une for\u00eat et surplombent la rivi\u00e8re. Le magnifique paysage de cette vall\u00e9e, que l&#8217;on d\u00e9couvre de la majestueuse terrasse du ch\u00e2teau, est ainsi pr\u00e9serv\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Les jardins se visitent selon le bon plaisir de chacun.<br \/>\nLa promenade labyrinthique dans les chambres de verdure du jardin en terrasse, r\u00e9serve des angles de vue divers sur le ch\u00e2teau et les parterres. Elle m\u00e8ne \u00e0 un superbe panorama sur la rivi\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<p>Le charme indicible des jardins en les murs, tient \u00e0 une atmosph\u00e8re faite de plantes parfum\u00e9es et du doux son de l&#8217;eau de la fontaine, dans un dessin \u00e9voquant les jardins du XVI\u00e8me et qui provoquent \u00e0 chaque d\u00e9tour le plaisir.
